yesterday was the end of the 'great music swap' (amby, neal, rea and i switched mp3 players for a day at work this week) and boy am i glad that's over! haha. NOT because i didn't like everybody else's music but mostly just because i like my own so much more. like, i was jealous of whoever had my player on any given day so it made it a little more difficult to enjoy theirs. BUT i will say that i wasn't surprised by anybody. i think i just already knew the type of music that everybody listened to so i knew what to expect maybe... and i didn't hate anybodys either. there are definately a good chunk of songs that i would choose to never have to listen to again *cough cough* paula cole *cough* (heheh) but it was still kinda fun in an 'omg, my ears are about ready to vomit!' kind of way! again... just kidding guys. good music all around!

so... now i am in bc. the drive was awful... except for the rain and lightning :D! it was just so so so terribly boring... and i picked out some horrible driving cds for the trip so that wasn't fun. but i saw some wildlife and did i mention the rain?! haha. OOH, but the exciting thing was just after exiting jasper nat. park i see this big ass moose on the road ahead of me. he was kinda half on the road and half on the shoulder. anyways, the pick-up truck in front of me was heading STRAIGHT at the moose and i'm thinking, "there is NO f-ing way that that guy does not see the ginormous animal standing in front of him. he's gonna swerve... he can't be that stupid!". well... apparently he was that stupid. i guess he thought maybe the thing would move out of his way but if any of you have ever seen a moose up close you'll know that they don't take no shit from nobody! and therefore, he was NOT moving. he kinda gives the guy this look of 'i don't care what you think you're gonna do, i was on this road first and i ain't goin' nowheres!' and so... the guys truck clips the back of the moose! i scream! the moose WALKS away! the guys truck looks like he just hit a freakin' tree! but... the good news... well, the news anyway, is that the guy was okay and the moose was okay. the bad news is that there was no cell phone reception in that area.
i finally got reception back around clearwater so that was sweet... but by that time the only people i didn't care about waking up was jay and my mom... and neither of them wanted to talk to me to keep me awake :(
anyways... shortly after the moose incident, i crossed over into Beautiful British Columbia : The Best Place On Earth! (that's right... apparently they're taking a page out of the disneyland book - 'happiest' or 'merriest' place on earth... depending on the season). it was great though... EVERYTHING really is better in BC so it's not like they're lying on their sign... even the trees were friendlier!!!
