<3 happy heart day <3

it's valentines day. how nice. it makes me laugh when people are like, "anti-valentine" because i think that it would just make them sadder to go around saying how they're against celebrating love... especially since they're probably 'single' and that's why they're "anti" anyways... but really, wouldn't it just serve to remind you that you're alone?
then again, i'm also not 'pro-valentine' either... but that's only because i think it's a so-called "holiday" made for those in couple relationships AND if you're going to wait until a specific day to show your love for your partner, maybe you shouldn't be in a relationship! that's pretty much the only reason i'm not a 'big' fan of the day, is just because i think it's sad that some people need a day to tell them to express their love for another. i prefer the 'tell someone you love them everytime the feeling crosses your heart' approach. (it's sappy... i know. meh.)
i had decided a while ago that i wasn't going to make cards this year, mostly just for lack of the time to do it, but now i wish that i had because everybody loves to get a card on valentines day! oh well... my friends all know i love them and therefore they would've been on the list to receive a card, so i'm throwing the thought out there instead. and they always say, "it's the thought that counts".
ANYWAYS, i'll say happy valentine's day to you all. i hope that you find a way to spend the day that fits with your preferred choice of celebration, whether that's with the 'love of your life', by yourself, or with a big group of friends at a gay bar looking at some guys head that's just had 40 needles shoved through it ;)
