ooh... look at me go! making some de-li-ci-ous pizza bread. mm mmm. i actually don't know if it tasted good at all but i'm going to pretend that it did. it sold pretty quick... i think... so that's probably a good sign. and here is the wonderful group of people i rang in the new year with... look at how the super-coolest people are all wearing red! it's almost like it was planned that way... except that it wasn't. weird... haha.
back in edmonton has been fun... and full of surprises. one is the mouse infestation (which is actually kind of cute because they're so teensy... but annoying because they're taking over the 'convent'). we got sticky traps for them and caught 5 yesterday... one more today (before i left... it could be more by now).
we had a yummy spaghetti dinner last night... greatly improved by the "secret ingredients" that ellen and i snuck into the ground beef and sauce... mmmmm rainbow...hehe. accompanied by caesar salad and garlic bread (hardly comparable to mine... but you can't have everything). it was all very tasty. and it didn't even make it less enjoyable that i had to do clean-up.
i learned a really fun game yesterday. dutch blitz. it was really really fun to play... i didn't think that it would be but once you get going and there's cheering sections and people start to get crazy it's 'wild'... haha. AND we also played ticket to ride. i LOVE ticket to ride! it's a super super fun game... i want to get it. and the best part of playing it yesterday is that... I WON! (you didn't think it would go unmentioned, did you?) haha. well now, i have to admit that the 'real' best part of playing any of the games was just getting to hang out with everybody... but i never win boardgames so it makes this just that much more exciting... i won't rub it in too much though... i did enough of that last night (and believe it or not, i do feel a little bit bad about that... hehe)
