feet on ground, heart in hand, facing forward, be yourself
wow...where to begin. it has been a long time since i last updated but for good reason, not just my usual neglectfulness. i guess i'll start with the last time i posted. it was my birthday, thursday night we had a party at my place, a little shortlived though i must say because after a couple of hours it was decided that we'd all head to impact instead. that was about as fun as a vernon club can be but oh well, we had a good time anyways, even if some people who said they'd come ditched out at the last minute...i'm not going to forgot about my corona buddy! haha. lisa and i ended up walking back to my place from there, that took a while...and the next day i noticed that somebody (*cough cough NICKI cough cough*) had stolen my reese mug from niagara falls, not impressed. the next morning after having two hours of sleep i got a call from brett to come pick him up so he could get his car from my place, and then i just waited for everybody else before a very tired, very hungover, morgan headed off to merritt for the weekend, where i watched jessica's BC Ambassador Program end. she did very well in it, winning the talent portion and being top 3 for the knowledge exam. from there we headed down to the ferries for a week and a half of fishing on the island. turned into more just exploring and faring gale forces because the salmon just didn't seem to be biting inland. when jessica and i left campbell river my dad called us to tell us about the fish he just caught...i guess maybe it was us causing the bad fishing, not the weather...hmm. so we get to nanaimo and get stuck in a 4 1/2 hour ferry line up, stupid sunday traffic!!! but we finally got on the boat and actually made it to g & g's before midnight! went to robson the next day and met up with caitlin for dinner that night and a little bubble tea of course, he he. and then came home where panic struck with the realization that i had one day to pack before heading off to edmonton. not cool! we got everything figured out though and i am now settled comfortably in my new house downtown. i had been having some trouble with my computer and took it to staples the other day, only to find out that it was just packed with viruses, worms, and parasites, AWESOME! so we managed to save my digital pictures but i lost absolutely everything else :( so that was not very happy at all. in any case, i've got it back now and i have this spyware thing on it now and i'm updating everything all the time so hopefully my problems are behind me. ok, so i think that's enough updating for now, i will try to be better at posting in the future. but right now i have to go play with muffin (the second cutest cat ever) because she won't leave me alone!
