i just got back from dave's 21st birthday! i can not believe that he's that old! it just doesn't seem right...i don't feel that old. we went to scandia though so i guess that proves that there's still a little kid in all of us still so that's nice to think about. and then we went for greek food for dinner. SO GOOD! i love greek so much! and of course, typical of the mclachlan/steenkamp family dinners there was some sort of chaos ensueing...this time, the tissue paper in jess' gift to dave got knocked over into a candle and started a massive fire on the table and then while trying to put it out, dad's foot caught on fire too! that was pretty sweet...and then for some reason we broke out the sparklers in the middle of the restaurant and played with those for the rest of the night...what? we're not pyros...really. i promise. anyways, so that was cool. but not quite as cool as running out of gas in the middle of nowhere on the way home...and then trying to explain to the tow-truck guy exactly where the middle of nowhere was. so, quite the fun evening altogether...except that dave got the absolute SWEETEST guitar ever! it's this beautiful blue godin electric and i want it REALLY REALLY badly! but ya...crazy. oh, and i finally got a job...it's just part-time at wal-mart doing cashier but it's better than nothing for now.
